We have some breaking news on the election front. CTV News has confirmed with multiple sources that the Quebec riding of Terabon has flipped to the Liberals. A judicial recount shows the Liberals have won the riding by just one single vote over the Block Quebec. Mark Carney just got caught in the shadiest riding flip in Canadian history, proving that when Liberals need seats, they’ll manipulate recounts to get them. Obviously, the question of the election was who would be the best prime minister to face Donald Trump. I mean, that was that was the only question. 600 ballots mysteriously disappeared during the recount, leaving Carney in absolute shock as evidence of the Quebec writing cheat job piles up for all Canadians to see. This political expert says they’re not uncommon. The oversight is strict and handled by a judge. They’ll go through all of the ballots again and that way um everyone is able to take a second look, make notes about any that they might have thought, you know, maybe there’s something here that should have made that vote discounted. Honestly, watching this one vote miracle unfold makes Canadian democracy feel a lot less real than all the fair election stories we’re used to hearing, especially when caught cheating is rewarded with power. Let’s review what we know happened. The writing of Terabone has flipped to the liberals after a judicial recount that showed the Liberals won by a single vote over the block kebab. One single vote. Does that sound suspicious to anyone else? Because it absolutely should. People and people that are not sure about ah is it really worth it to go out and vote? I mean it’s kind of shows that it’s uh it is worth it. Even a single vote is really important to show like to make a difference. Listen to those words carefully. Every vote matters. That’s what they want you to believe. That this miraculous one vote victory is proof of a thriving democracy. But what if it’s actually proof of something far more concerning? Let’s be real here. The timing couldn’t be more perfect for Mark Carney and the Liberals. This magical recount puts them at 170 seats, just too shy of a majority. How convenient is that? That brings the Liberal seat count in the parliament to 170. And take a look at this. Just two seats shy, less than what is needed for a majority government. Recounts are underway in three other writings at the moment. Let’s not social media is lighting up with serious questions. One user on X described this as electoral theater, a performance where the outcome was already determined. Are they wrong? Because from where I’m standing, the choreography seems pretty suspicious. And here’s where things get even more interesting. According to some reports making the rounds, there were allegedly around 600 ballots disqualified during this recount process. 600 ballots were potentially thrown out while they touted a one vote victory. That’s what some commenters are claiming on videos discussing this issue. This political expert says they’re not uncommon. The oversight is strict and handled by a judge. They’ll go through all of the ballots again and that way um everyone is able to take a second look, make notes about any that they might have thought, you know, maybe there’s something here that should have made that vote discounted. The mainstream media would have you believe this is all perfectly normal. Nothing to see here, folks. Just a routine recount where everything was done by the book. But while they’re busy assuring us that the process was legitimate, Elections Canada is actually investigating a serious issue that could throw the entire result into question. Bring in Scott Reed, CTV News political commentator. Scott, good evening. Great to have you on the show. Almost two weeks out, election results continue to flip. It’s remarkable what we’re seeing with this election. Exactly. Election night’s been 13 days long. Uh it it is fascinating to watch. Did you hear about that? A mail-in ballot for the block kebab wasn’t counted due to an error by Elections Canada. One ballot, the exact margin of victory. Isn’t that an astonishing coincidence? And who was overseeing this magical recount that flipped the writing from block to liberal? A judge, Justice Danielle Turo, presided over the judicial recount. Who appointed her? What are her connections? These are the questions that deserve answers. When democracy hangs by a single vote, it was called a liberal victory. Then it switched to the block kebab during election Canada’s validation process before the judicial recount for young. Let’s be crystal clear here. I’m not making accusations without context. This isn’t happening in isolation. We’ve seen a pattern emerging in this election. Remember Carlton, Pierre Palevra’s writing? The one that was conveniently redrawn with new boundaries that mysteriously favored the liberals. The one where he lost his seat. And let’s not forget about those 800 plus special ballots that were accidentally kept in British Columbia. Elections Canada admitted to procedural errors affecting 74 districts. But don’t worry, they assure us it didn’t affect the outcomes. How reassuring. The picture gets clearer when you zoom out, doesn’t it? Boundary changes, missing ballots, and now miraculous one vote recounts. At what point do we stop calling these coincidences and start calling them something else? Can you imagine losing a riding by one vote? And you think of every family member who maybe got too busy picking up the kids and forgot. It would just haunt you like a ghost. But uh you know what’s the big takeaway here? We got three other judicial the block Quebecqua candidate who lost by this single vote. Simon Sinclair De Gier isn’t taking this lying down. He’s considering all options and may challenge the results in court. And who can blame him? When you lose by one vote and then discover that a ballot for your party wasn’t counted due to an error, wouldn’t you have questions, too? for a long time. I’d say years we’ve been talking about it and I kind of felt alone when I mentioned it. But fortunately, even under the Trudeau government, they started working. They tightened up the Roxom rule and put in visas for Mexican. But here’s the kicker. A recent Ledger poll found that 13% of Canadians don’t trust the election results at all. With that number rising to 25% among conservative voters, public trust is eroding and flips like this one vote miracle in Taban only pour fuel on that fire. Conservative to liberal, some could flip uh liberal to conservative. Uh at the end of the day, the liberals are not going to end up with an actual technical majority, but it just reinforces fundamentally that they have a working majority in the House of Commons. While Mark Carney publicly projects confidence and focuses on forming his government, behind the scenes, things might not be so calm. Is Carney panicking? The mainstream media certainly isn’t asking that question. They’re too busy celebrating this historic win and telling us how it proves every vote matters. CBC, BBC, and other mainstream outlets report on the recount as a standard process with no mention of any irregularities. well with him. So do you think is the same Liberal Party? You’re happy that Mr. Carney is there for the economy? But is he different from Justin Trudeau? I think Mr. Carney even said he’s more on the economy than Justin Trudeau. So meanwhile, the Conservatives aren’t staying silent. Their fundraising emails have alleged the Liberals are tipping the scales in writing recounts. Are they wrong to raise these concerns? Or should we just ignore the mounting coincidences? And let’s also not forget that recounts are happening in other writings, too. Milton East Halton Hill South went to the Liberals after double-checking. Windsor Tecumpsa Lakeshore is also being recounted after a liberal candidate claimed ballots were wrongfully rejected. Liberal leader Mark Carney is spending his entire day in the province of Quebec, visiting mainly BL Quebec law writings that his party believes they can flip next Monday. Carney started his day by having breakfast with Quebec City Mayor Bruno Marsha and then he had a photo op with some candidates from the area who are trying to hold on to their seats. He then toured. Are we witnessing a pattern here? Recounts that mysteriously favor one party. At what point does coincidence become conspiracy? And let’s talk about what’s at stake. This isn’t just about one seat. It’s about the balance of power in parliament. At 170 seats, the Liberals are just too shy of a majority. That puts them within striking distance of complete control. They’re a whisker away from having that majority. And of course, we have to remember that they have to pick a speaker. And that takes one other member of parliament off the board. And I would think the Liberals will almost certainly allow an opposition member to take that role. One seat here, one seat there, and suddenly the checks and balances of a minority government disappear. Is that what’s happening before our eyes? A slow motion power grab disguised as procedural recounts. And while all this unfolds, we see Quebec Premier Francois LGO coing up to Carney, saying they’re on the same wavelength. Lego claims Carney has had good support in Quebec and expects to be announcing economic projects in Quebec. Interesting timing, isn’t it? I think when we look at the result and like Mr. Nea said, Mr. is happy with the cabinet as well as his prerogative. Let’s be clear about what we know for certain. The recount did happen. The Liberals did win by one vote. There’s at least one uncounted block ballot being investigated. These are the facts. But when you put everything together, the convenient timing, the statistical improbability, the pattern of other electoral irregularities and what’s at stake, it raises serious questions that deserve answers. Dave by having breakfast with Quebec City Mayor Bruno Ma. And then he had a photo op with some candidates from the area who are trying to hold on to their seats. He then toured. So what happens next? Will the uncounted block ballot be validated, potentially forcing a bi-election? Will Sinclair de Gier take legal action? Or will this all be swept under the rug as we move forward with a carne government that clings to power by the thinnest of margins? These are questions that deserve answers. Transparency matters. Election integrity matters. And when a writing flips by a single vote at the exact moment it benefits one party the most, scrutiny isn’t just warranted, it’s essential. Leave it that for tonight, keeping an eye on the other writings as well. But for the moment, Scott Reed, CTV News political commentator, thank you for your inputs. Because if we can’t trust the fundamentals of our electoral process, what can we trust? What do you think? Is this one vote victory a miracle of democracy or something more suspicious? Has Canada’s election integrity been compromised? Or are these just the natural bumps in a close race?
