Video Script:

you didn’t say that you condemn white supremacy I’m not I’m not going to recite some catechism for you I’m against vicious racial discrimination in this country so I’m not pledging allegion to your new religion of modern wokeism which absolutely Feats fits the test I’m not going to bend the need of your religion I’m sorry I’m not asking you to bend the need of mine and I’m not going to bend the need of yours but do I condemn vicious racial discrimination yes I do am I going to play your silly game of gotcha no I’m not and frankly this is why people have lost trust and I know you’re going to go print the headline tomorrow I already know this we already know how your game works V ramaswami refuses to condemn white supremacy because you asked a stupid question the reality is I condemn vicious racial discrimination in this country but the kind of vicious and systematic racial discrimination we see today is discrimination on the basis of race in a very different direction you want to know what the best way is to end discrimination on the basis of race stop discriminating on the basis of race do that and we’re going to move this country forward and I don’t care whether you’re black or white or brown or anything in between that’s how we’re going to unite this country you people have been responsible for dividing this country to a Breaking Point creating a projection of national Division I meet people from the south side of Chicago to meetings like this one of every shade of melanin multiple from man to woman doesn’t make a difference who are hungry for Reviving unity in this country and you with your catechism that you try to get as politicians to whatever fake headline you’re going to print on the basis of this conversation tomorrow that’s what’s dividing this country for a break to a Breaking Point shame on you look people in the eye and tell them what you’ve actually failed to tell them for the Last 5 Years own the accountability for your own failures as the media that’s how we rebuild trust in this country and until then I don’t have a lot of patience to play the games back there and then we’ll come back up front here Mr ramasami um thank you you’ve expressed some illogical and dangerous positions just about everything under the Sun but I will only bring up a few points today okay just be respectful of everyone but we’ll we’ll pick your favorite ones thank you just a few years ago we all saw firsthand the disastrous results when a ruthless capitalist a scam artist a showman and a liar with no Public Service experience became the president of the United States and yet we are here again my fellow New Hampshire residents are being manipulated by showman and Trump wannabes to win our votes Mr ramaswami you may be a millionaire and you may know how to avoid paying taxes by incorporating companies in Bermuda but let’s talk about your lack of job qualifications you’re not qualified to become the principal of my children’s School of only 1,000 students you’re not qualified to be theel Board of my town with a population of 16,000 people and you’re definitely not qualified to run for the highest office of our nation to govern 330 million Americans spewing nonsensical fast talking empty words intersperse with name dropping Thomas Jefferson and George Washington should not be misconstrued as knowledgeable we Americans should stop thinking that rich men who fund their campaigns and manipulate us into thinking that they’re smart or savvy are qualified for the presidency to receive the codes to launch nuclear weapons and to become the commander-in-chief of our military forces yes it’s coming Mr ramaswami if we American voters thank you it’s coming we’ll let her finish we’ll give her a chance to finish thank you the question mark though thank you yeah yeah thank you thank you you will yeah yeah you if we American voters keep supporting self-promoting showman who treat the US presidency or vice presidency as an entry-level position than we the American people are to blame for the destruction of our Democratic institutions please your thoughts now thank you okay I appreciate that before before you answer before you answer I want to answer that yeah I know you want to answer and I want you to answer but everyone remember everyone’s in here at the same time you can make your point but get to the question first TR to okay and hard questions are welcome just to end them with the question mark is all I say so here’s what I will say there’s what do I hear embedded in that question there’s a fundamental skepticism of somebody who comes from outside and take as an entrylevel job that was what was in your question which I think is a valid criticism an entry-level job to be the US president let me just share with you one of my learnings in this campaign we have an imperfect system right now and you all face imperfect choices in that system we were talking about this backstage what was the number one learning for me this is a super pack puppet game it’s my number one learning coming in from the outside you’re told that candidates actually run campaigns that you fund by giving $35 contributions nonsense the system is funded by not multimillionaires multi-billionaires who use politicians in both parties Democrat and Republican party as their puppets the super Pacs are a Cancer on our system so if you want to break that system and I’ll tell you it’s a law of nature it’s like a law of physics as the sun rises in the East and sets in the west every politician dances to the tune of their biggest donor it’s just a fact now in my case it is true that that biggest donor is me now do I want a system in which only people who have had the level of success that I’ve had in the world of business and the American dream are the ones who are able to run for president no but is that better than a system where it’s somebody else’s billionaire puppet that’s on that debate stage that actually is just uttering words handed to them by billionaire provided Super PAC yes I think that’s better and I think if we’re going to address the corruption in Washington DC the corruption of people and there are other candidates in this race that fit this description making millions of dollars off of Connections in government service afterwards lobbying in a career using government connections this is corruption that exists in both parties then yes I do think it will take an outsider to that system coming in to break that system one of the things I think we need to stop apologizing for in this country is the power of capitalism I have succeeded not in government and I will not Fain having government experience that I don’t have but the people who do have government experience in some ways got us into the mess that we’re in today so I think we live in a moment where it will take an outsider someone who comes from the outside ideally even someone who comes from the Next Generation to reach the next generation of whom we have so many in this room today I think it will take somebody whose best days I hope are still yet ahead in life to see a country whose best days are still yet ahead in life and I’m not name dropping when I mention Thomas Jefferson these are people I look up to as our founding fathers he was 33 years old when he wrote the Declaration of Independence I’m an old man by comparison he invented the swivel chair while he was at it that’s the founding Spirit we need to revive in this country and in this particular moment moment yes I do think it will take an outsider to do it yes I do think it will take an outsider to address our national debt $33 trillion we need a CEO in the White House how does a CEO run a business how have I run the business as I’ve run zerob based budgeting don’t start with last year’s budget as the Baseline because last year’s budget was broken by the same existing political class and last year’s budget was the based on the previous year’s budget which was equally broken by the same corrupt special interest system so I say break that system start with zero as the Baseline and then ask what’s actually necessary you’re not going to get that type of leadership from somebody who comes from I think within that broken system so you’re right you do face a choice as I shared with Nancy earlier if you want somebody who’s going to incrementally reform the bureaucracy the bureaucracy and administrative state I’m not your candidate if you want somebody who has government experience as their qualification to be your next president then I’m not your candidate but if you want somebody who comes from the outside a patriot who speaks the truth uncaptured by the super Pacs willing to get in there and actually gut that shadow government the corrupt swamp in Washington DC but actually see the job through as a leader from a different generation to reach the next Generation then yes I am your candidate and that is why I’m in this race and the beauty of this is a you have the right to speak your mind as as everybody else in this room that’s what makes America beautiful that’s what makes America great and the part that really makes our system what it is is that that choice belongs to you not to me and I’m grateful for the opportunity you guys have given us so next question thank [Applause] youal candidate and author of truths coming out in September the thank you so much for joining me it’s good to be on we had a historic presidential debate on Thursday between current President Joe Biden former president Donald Trump and almost a week later we’re still dealing with the Fallout from President Biden’s debate performance people now are calling for him to step aside drop out of the race you have been saying he’s not going to be the democrat’s nominee for months now can you talk about why you’ve been saying that I’ve been saying that for nearly a year and a half now I said it for much of the campaign tra last year that was dismissed as a crazy idea last year it has now become the mainstream view of what’s going to happen and the reason is first of all I think most organizations including political parties tend to do whatever is in their best long run interest so I think that the plan as it’s played out not that it’s been in some smoke filed back room plot but just the incentives match exactly what you’re seeing play out which is a late switch would actually be to the advantage of Democrats that’s the hard reality where they’d rather put somebody up late still in the honeymoon phase with the public when the election occurs in November but without having the chance to go through that scrutiny phase to anybody who’s been watching this for a long time it’s been plain as day that Joe Biden does not have the cognitive faculties to serve as the US president it’s sad many people across this country do suffer from dementia it does appear like Joe Biden is likely to be one of them but that doesn’t entitle him to be the president of the United States to the contrary I’m really worried about even right now in the leadup to the election who exactly is running the country it’s been unclear who’s running the country for the last year and a half I think it’s certainly unclear who’s running it right now but I do continue to believe as I have for the last 16 months that Joe Biden will not be the nominee and I think in some ways this election for that reason hasn’t really even kicked into full year I had a conversation a few hours ago with a republican congresswoman Harriet Hagman and she said she asked that same question I am curious who’s running the country I’m going to flip it back to you who do you think is running the country right now if you don’t think it’s Joe Biden look I think it is a managerial machine for so many years in America we’ve seen the decline of our constitutional republic into this administrative bureaucracy the rise of the administrative State the rise of bureaucrats who are never elected to their positions who are really the ones setting most of public policy today it’s interesting even just last week the Supreme Court did reign in a good amount of that administrative power but whether you want to call it the Deep State the administrative State the fourth branch of government or the unelected bureaucrats that’s I think the class of people particularly around Joe Biden who are really running the show and they really just put up a president really as a symbol as a kind of puppet for a machine underneath it that’s really driving most of the policy decisions and so you know that’s not conspiratorial or accusational I think it’s just a descriptive reality of how Washington DC works today the people we elect to run the government are not the ones actually running the government and nowhere is that more true than in the case of Joe Biden who is only nominally in some Thin nominal sense the president of the United States I don’t think in any real actual true sense he really is even the president which is part of why I’ve long advised Republicans and said so as a candidate myself that the way that we need to win this election isn’t just by criticizing Biden frankly Biden isn’t going to be the nominee as I’ve said for the last year and a half the way we’re going to actually win not only this election but revive this country is by defining who we are and what we stand for and what are those values that we’re actually advancing rather than just worried about the candidate who we’re running against if you don’t think President Biden is going to be the nominee who do you think is going to replace him look again I think you got to track the incentives and the psychology of the party that’s at issue here in this case that’s the Democratic party there’s an uncomfortable truth kamla Harris was not qualified to be the vice president she didn’t even make it to the io caucus she was wildly unpopular and I think egregiously unqualified to serve as the vice president she’s failed on every initiative she’s been given most notably for border security where that’s been one of the real black marks the Biden presidency among many black marks on that presidency nonetheless they went with her for one reason identity politics don’t take it for me look at what many Democrats said at the time for her basis for being put into that position that she was a woman of color their words not mine well if they put her in that position based on identity politics then I think it’s going to be very difficult for them to pass her over unless they actually admit they were wrong before which is impossible for them to do and so I think it’s either got to be KLA Harris or somebody else who checks those same boxes like Michelle Obama and I think the latter possibility people discounted I think it’s actually more likely than most people expect because that would also be the type of figure that rises above the otherwise personal competitive forces that a lot of other ambitious people who might want to run for president of the democratic party would have competing against each other I think Michelle Obama does rise above that fry while still paying homage to the Temple of identity politics that resulted in Kam Harris’s elevation in the first place Michelle Obama has said before that she doesn’t want to run but who do you think has the better chance of beating Trump because both Biden and Harris in a recent CNN poll are losing to Trump but the gap between Harris and Trump is smaller so who do you think is the democrat’s best option look that’s for the Democratic party to decide the reality is I think president Trump is on a firm course to not only win this election but to potentially win this election in a unifying Landslide like we haven’t seen in this country in a generation since Reagan in 1980 and 1984 and I do think this country is in bad need of that type of unifying result we’re used to these razor thin margins all the way from the 2000 election on down that I do think has divided this country and created an artificial perception of division when in fact when I travel with this country now a lot of people in communities that would have otherwise supposedly gone Democrat Urban inner city communities black Americans Young Americans even people who are working-class Americans that might have historically voted Democrat I think they’re sick and tired of the way those policies have left them holding the bag particularly economically and I also think that this scourge of illegal Mass migration into this country has left Americans of every color and every partisan affiliation worse off for that illegal migration crisis and the wave of crime in the cities across this country so I think president Trump has an opportunity to make this a unifying Landslide Victory irrespective of who the Democrats put up but that comes back to the cautionary note I offered ear clear we can’t fall into the Trap of obsessing over who the nominee is going to be on the other side I think we have to do the harder work of looking in the mirror and asking ourselves who are we and what do we actually stand for not just as Republicans but as Americans
